If you’ve been following along with my One Room Challenge, you’ve seen what a massive undertaking the 6 week project is. One of the best things about ORC however is connecting with and being inspired by fellow designers and DIY’ers.
Today I wanted to share my favourite reveals from ORC Fall 2020. Of the 400 or so submissions to this season’s One Room Challenge, these are the ones that had my jaw on the floor.
Here are my favourite reveals in each category – I hope you find as much inspiration in these spaces as I do!
LIVING ROOM
My friend Jordan over at House Collected has some serious style, so it’s no surprise that her living room is one of my favourite spaces from ORC. I adore how the space is refined yet cozy, and her shelf styling skills are so on point.
KITCHEN
Ok how about this kitchen reveal from Sachi Lord? I don’t know about you, but pretty sure I could stare at this kitchen for hours. The brass details, the subtle but stunning backsplash tile, and that pendant light. They took a cramped outdated kitchen and transformed it into this jaw dropping space. Did I mention Sachi and her husband DIY’d the whole thing? I’m in awe.
DINING ROOM
If you’ve never considered a dark and moody dining room, this space by Kait Collins is sure to make you a convert. I’m literally studying the way she’s combined modern and traditional elements in the space, and her mix of textiles is stunning. Can you even with those drapes?!
MASTER BEDROOM
Sarahbeth from Lady of the Home has impeccable taste and is one of the kindest people to boot. Give her IG profile a scroll and you’ll see why I basically want to move into her home. Every space exudes effortless chic and serene vibes. She also created a faux concrete fireplace in this bedroom which is giving me so much inspiration for when I finally get around to renovating my own master bedroom!
KID’S BEDROOM
Can you say charming? I didn’t know I needed an English inspired retreat in my life until I saw this stunning space from Jenny Bohannon. I adore the mix of textiles and wood tones she has so expertly combined in this space.
NURSERY
Hannah over at Hamb Home crafted this stunning and moody nursery which has me wishing for a do-over of my son’s nursery. What a gorgeous and cozy space to snuggle with a sweet babe. The crib she selected has the most gorgeous lines which offer a beautiful juxtaposition to the more masculine elements in the space.
LAUNDRY ROOM/MUDROOM
It was hard to choose a favourite angle of this gorgeous renovation Leslie at Deeply Southern Home created, so you’ll have to pop over and check them all out for yourself. I mean, I might actually like doing laundry if I had a space that looked like this. The details she’s chosen are perfection, from the stunning faucet in the dog washing station (how fun is that!?) to the most beautiful colour on the board and batten in the mudroom area. Definitely filing this one under future laundry room inspiration.
BATHROOM
This absolute stunner of a master bath is from Warda at An Appetite for Design. The combination of this dreamy blue on both the wainscotting and walls with the gold accents is absolutely dreamy. And of course that tub, who wouldn’t want a master ensuite like this!? Warda has also incorporated gorgeous wallpaper and an incredible walk-in shower which she tiled herself. You’ll have to hop on over to her instagram to check it out.
POWDER ROOM
A powder room is a perfect place to go bold, and Sanda at Design Playbook did not miss the opportunity. From the mouldings, to the wallpaper, to the hardware, every detail in this space is perfection.
OFFICE
Did you know an office could be so chic? Well Susan Hill Designs is here to show you what is possible. I am absolutely swooning over every detail in this space! The dusty pink walls with the dark green cabinetry, the gallery wall, and that stunning cozy chair. There’s also a (gorgeously styled) bar cart, and let me tell you, that’s my kinda office vibe.
CLOSET
OUTDOOR SPACE
Check out the urban oasis Collected Eclectic has achieved in this relatively small space. They’ve turned a former driveway into a beautiful yard, incorporating a garden, potting bench, and lounge space under a pergola with cafe lights. I love how this backyard feels like an extension of the living space.
You’ve got to see the before of this incredible closet space designed by Hina at Story of Style. Would you look at the details she’s incorporated, from the brilliant shoe storage, to the fluting on the draw fronts, to the beautiful use of lighting in the space. Hina’s got got gorgeous style in both clothing and decor, as you can see!
I hope you enjoyed perusing these spaces as much as I have. Each one of these rooms represents many, many hours of hard work and weeks of perseverance to achieve a unique vision. Hop on over to their pages and show them some love!
I’d love to know which of these spaces is your favourite?
