Holiday Gift Guide for Her – Carly’s Favourite Things
The very best things I can’t (or at least wouldn’t want to!) live without.
1. Breville Espresso Maker We’ve had our Breville Espresso maker for YEARS (7? I’ve lost count), and we put it to the test, pumping out at least 6 delicious americanos a day.
2. Yeti insulated mug Going hand in hand with my love of coffee, this YETI mug is a game changer. I haven’t had a cold or re-heated coffee since this entered my life – and if your a fellow parent of littles you know what a luxury that is.
3. Gold hoop earrings Snug fitting gold hoops are my new go-to accessory – simple & classic, dress them up or down, they look good with everything.
4. Ugg Dakota Slippers My go-to slippers for 5 years and counting. That shearling lining is everythingggg.
5. Heavyweight Knit Blanket I feel like there’s two types of throw blanket people, knit blanket lovers or sherpa/faux fur blanket lovers. I’m firmly in the former camp.
6. Nikon D5600 Camera & 35mm lens I bought this camera when we were expecting our first child, and it was arguably the best “new baby” purchase we made. The 35mm prime lens takes incredible photos, especially portraits (and its what I use for the majority of my interior photography too!).
7. Jo Malone Velvet Rose and Oud Cologne Oud is my new favourite scent, complex, warm and woody.
8. The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown and You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero. If I’m going to read a book I’m looking for something that offers new lenses to view myself and/or the world. You cannot read these books and come out unchanged.
9. Bread Board Charcuterie is a way of life in this household, it’s out go-to meal for date nights and celebratory occasions. I’m all about a beautiful board to arrange our feast on, bonus points for it doubling as gorgeous decor for your kitchen counter or open shelves.
10. The Ordinary Facial Treatment Set I’m not super into fancy skincare, but I love taking care of my face (hello, preventative skincare!), so I love Canadian brand The Ordinary for their simple approach to skincare. These are the products I use every day.
11. Bose SoundLink Speaker In our home, music is playing every day, morning til bedtime. Another item we’ve had for yearsss, this Bose speaker puts out gorgeous sound and is super portable (we take it to the backyard, beach and on vacation).
12. Shacket (shirt jacket) A cozy layer is a MUST in the PNW. The shacket is trending this year, and I am here for it.
