Holiday Gift Guide: For Kids
I am pretty relentless when it comes to what toys make the cut for staying in our playroom. There aren’t too many that have staying power to entertain the kids, not just for a day or two but for months or years on end. On this list are some of our favourites that meet this criteria, plus a few from this year’s wish list.

1. Big Joe Bean Bag Chair These super cute bean bag chairs are on my kid’s wish list this year. Surely my son will use it for jumping off of & my daughter will use it for reading, and I love that it is great for either purpose. These chairs are available in tons of fabrics, colours & patterns. There are multiple sizes from toddler through adult so be sure to select your preferred size.
2. Magna-Tiles Both of my kids have loved these magnetic building tiles for years & my 4-year-old son has been particularly enthralled with them lately. He’ll be getting an expansion pack this Christmas to build even bigger creations. A wonderful open-ended play option!
3. Whimsical Slippers Fuzzy animal slippers for him and her are sure to be a hit – a fun & low-cost gift for kids of any age. I already have a a couple pairs for our kids wrapped under the tree this year.
4. Rainbow Dot Duffel Bag. My kids utterly adore having their own “special” luggage to pack for sleepovers. There are 8 prints available geared to both girls and boys. There is also a larger size available. Monogramming is available if you order by November 30th!
5. Scoop & Serve Ice Cream Set My kids have this set at their Nana & Poppa’s and it is absolutely the #1 hit toy. Be forewarned, you will be ordering & eating pretend ice cream on the daily.
6. Crayola 80-piece Art Set This set is stocked with awesome materials – oil pastels, watercolour pencils, markers, watercolour paints, acrylic paint and more. Perfect for the young budding artist in your life.
